Event: Movement Restrictions Due to Local Government Elections on July 24, 2021
The Lagos and Ogun State governments have announced restrictions on movement throughout their respective states on July 24, 2021 due to upcoming local government elections. Lagos State has announced movement restrictions from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Ogun State from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. U.S. citizens in the area should continue to adhere to the movement restrictions put in place by local and federal governments.
U.S. citizens are also advised to remain vigilant and take precautions as violence at or around polling locations may occur.

- Follow all local laws and movement restrictions.
- Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of a polling station.
- Monitor local media for updates.
- Keep a low profile.
