Event:  Important Evacuation Flight Details and Airline Contact Information

The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos has two scheduled evacuation flights from Lagos via Addis Ababa to Washington D.C. on July 16 and July 23 on Ethiopian Airlines.  If you have attempted to call Ethiopian Airlines but have been unable to get through, we encourage you to continue to calling or send them an e-mail.  Additional phone numbers and e-mail addresses have  been added to meet the demand for booking these flights.

These flights are for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Legal Permanent Residents only.  Visa holders are not eligible for these flights and those who are denied boarding by the airline may not receive refunds.

Kindly send Ethiopian Airlines the following information via e-mail to begin your booking:

  1. Passport data page
  2. Name as it appears on your passport
  3. Date of Travel (July 16 or July 23)

Pricing Details:

The cost for a one-way economy seat as of July 13, 2020* is as follows:

  • Adult: $2004 USD (777,000 Naira)
  • Child fare: $1,597 USD (618,718 Naira)
  • Infant: $185 USD (71,240 Naira)
  • Baggage allowance: 46kg (2 pieces of 23kg/each)

Once you have confirmed a seat with the airline, you will be responsible for paying for the flight directly with Ethiopian Airlines.

Evacuation Flight Registration

U.S. Mission Nigeria released a new evacuation questionnaire on April 22, 2020.  If you have not yet completed the questionnaire, please CAREFULLY and ACCURATELY complete the appropriate questionnaire below.  EACH TRAVELER in your party must complete his/her own questionnaire in order to be included in our data.  If there is space for you on a future flight, we will contact you directly by phone.
