Location: Nigeria
Date: July 19, 2021
Event: COVID Restrictions on Travelers from India, Brazil, Turkey, and South Africa
On June 30, 2021 the Nigerian Government officially added South Africa to the list of countries with additional entry restrictions. Please note that non-Nigerian passport holders and non-residents who have visited Brazil, India, Turkey or South Africa within 14 days preceding travel to Nigeria will be denied entry. This regulation does not apply to passengers who transited through these countries in route to Nigeria.
Returning legal residents who have been in India, Brazil, Turkey, or South Africa within 14 days of arrival in Nigeria must quarantine at a government-designated hotel for seven (7) days at their own expense. In Lagos, the government-designated hotel is the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos Ikeja. In Abuja, the hotels are Nicon Luxury, Apo Apartments and Barcelona Hotel. Travelers who are currently in one of these identified countries should make alternative travel plans to ensure that they have not spent any of the previous 14 days in these countries prior to their arrival in Nigeria or be prepared to quarantine at their own expense.
